Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She is currently employed by ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She began working for ESPN in 2016. The daughter of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since when she was nine years old. It is this skill that helped her get her first position as a Univision producer assistant Miami. There, she was a producer for television shows that were national, like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was then hired as a reporter by the CBS station as a sports journalist. After 2009, the reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. Also, she was often required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. There she had more duties. She produced pieces about the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason as well as the Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on where she was anchor. The show was promoted to be anchor of the sports segment for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22 the 22nd of November, 1985 in Mexico City. She has a sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. In the course of a few months, her father split from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect whose name was Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a trip Antonietta spent the time at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten the job of his dreams. Antonietta was just graduating from high school but already knew what she was going to be doing. The campus was stunning and provided the education she wanted. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked for a number of years, was an acquaintance. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
